Detailed my friends FD.....

I just detailed my friends FD last weekend. Car is stock except for a Fujitsubo Exhaust.

Car is a 1993 Type R.

Hope you like the pictures. Sorry, the sunlight did not exactly give me the time of day.

Driver's side footwell got dirty getting in and out a lot, decided to vaccum it later.

Hope you like my work.

Thanks.

For the paint. I did my initial cut with autoglym fine abrasive, then went on it with a softer pad with Meguiars No 80 Speed Glaze, and then i used a special Black Car finishing glaze. Finished it off with Autoglym Radiant Wax polish. I did all of this with a Porter Cable 7336SP Buffer.

Engine bay got a full wash down, waxed the jambs and conditioned all the plastics and moldings.

I used autoglym Plastic conditioner for all the big pieces in the engine bay.(the stuff is like a gel), then all the plastics just got shot over with a plastic finishing spray (perfect 10). Leaves a non-greasy finish. The motor first had key areas sealed and was pressure washed.

Tires got rubber conditioner (its a liquid), also an autoglym product. Degreased and Cleaned the wheels. Also, i made sure to condition and clean the Wheel-wells. That also makes a big difference.

Very nice. You forgot to use the toothbrush to get the wax in the lettering on the sidemarkers.

Yes, the paint is original. It was not that hard to find a clean/stock 93 FD for my friend. He has another black RHD FD, thats a 94 R package FD also that he brought in. I will be working on that one soon, but this one is a lot cleaner. Has 40,000 miles in kilometers, clean interior. He would sell it to me, i would love to buy it as a track beast or register it out of state. But sadly, i dont have the money to do this right.
