It's a mortar round. you can even see it landing if you watch carefully. Luckily for them it detonated underground, instead of on impact where they would have had more shrapnel.

Good god! That thing peels up the road like it's nothing. A good friend of mine was over there and one of his squad mates was in the porta john on base when a mortar round hit five feet behind the *******. It was a dud luckily but the dude had his pants around his ankles the whole time.

i saw the same video on military.com site.... i have friends in the sand box now (fellow rotorheads), and wish they were home... i know they will do their job to the best and come home safe though, cause we got cars to build!!!
