Here it is....

This fits beautifully underneath and gives you room to mount some midrange speakers next to the Amplifier.

Other than that is lightweight since you know the convertible is heavier than the coupe to begin with.

Also I may add that the stock spare tire cover with wind deflector that comes with the convertible can bolt up like factory. Like this people wont know what you have..

My suggestion is to cut some 6x9 holes and just put speaker grilles on top and the sound will permeate outwardly. Thieves wont know what you have underneath. Now you get to a car show or meet and take the cover off to show off what's underneath.

I am going to sell these as complete unit assembled or unassembled in a box like when you buy furniture that you put together. It will have instructions and all the necessary hardware.

Check it out and let me know what you think.

Alot of weight for our cars. do it in fiberglass and your talking. Also what size subs are going in there? And what are the cubic requirments for the sub you are planning to use? Seems shallow to drive properly. Need more specs then just that pic. Putting a big *** sub in a small *** enclosure does nothing execpt make crackle. What are the inside demensions?

I can do it in fiberglass but it's too much work and money. Most people nowadays want to spend less money out of their pockets unless you are rolling in it. If you read most of the threads on this site you will see that most rotaries are down for some reason or if someone is trying to unload some parts everyone is low balling them because people don't want to pay much for stuff.

What I am trying to accomplish is a nice lightweight enclosure that wont cost someone three arms and four legs to get. This particular set up has 12" subs because that is what the customer wanted. He also used Dynamat to seal everything on the bottom. He is also upgrading to the new low profile 12's that take little space and for that i will be redoing the box so there is less section height and sealed at the bottom with the same MDF material.

I would have preferred 10" subs which give more room to put other speakers into it next to the amp. That area is also enclosed separately from the subs area.

This kit is inexpensive .. less than what would expect to pay.. it comes complete with everything.. adhesive, hardware... you can't go wrong with this set up because it's simplified.

When you have redesigned the box for those subs let me know. How much would a fiberglass box cost? How much for the current box?

ok so my question is still there. What is the inner displacment? You can't just shove any 10 or 12 inch sub into a box and have it hit correctly? ahhh forget it. Ok here is my point. From the pic that does not look deep enough to properly hit any 12 inch sub on the market. That is why I am asking.

If you have the enclosure built you could frame it and glass it also no?

I cant tell you the inner displacement but just that it is of the right dimension and deep enough to take the 12's

Ok so what particular 12" sub is it designed to enclose? Single or Dual voice coil? Seeing as it is designed to enclose "the 12's". Which 12 is it designed to enclose?
