How is that different from ricers here? Just because they're in japan??

(im not talking to anyone in particular, just replying to the thread title)

They were driving wrecklessly in traffic, at tremendous speeds, thats what the ******* idiot ricers still do here. That video is no different, its just their in a different country.

I hate **** like that.

Dont get me wrong, i def do speed every now and then but NEVER will traffic like that and i only do it when im by myself or a friend who said i dont care if you speed. Never with the girl or my bro or any family member.

I definitely think its pretty stupid as well. There could be a lot of people who get hurt that way. A lot of innocent people.

And Junito, if that is how they got their driving "skillz", I'd rather them stay better than me.

lol, I really doubt that they were the equivalent of US "ricers". Im sure those were all very well sorted hondas, probably not even street legal, and they are all incredible drivers. Stupid people that dont know anything about cars, IE "ricers", dont have the skill or ***** to do **** like that. ***** come from confidence, in your machine and your ability. Those werent just dumb kids, they were just good drivers doing dumb things. I see that crap ALL the time over here, mostly with bikes, but there is no shortage of Jap guys, usually in 180's, driving on the street as if they were on the track. And I know a couple of them that would, and do, RAPE me and most everyone else on the track.

But how do you define that as skill?

Because it "looked" cool swerving in and out of traffic?

Thats called luck tanjo, not skill. They simulated normal driving since they were using public roads except the fact they were going MUCH faster.

In the event of normal driving, you go about your routine, YOU do everything correctly, change lanes correctly, maintain speed etc etc, then an idiot out of the corner comes out of nowhere and hits you. You could be a good driver but some other dumbass hit you, it wasnt your fault.

Same concept here, they shown basic driving skills but with the help of PURE luck didnt get hit by anotehr car on the road. They past many cars in their blind spots and all it takes is one pedestrian car to not seem him come out of nowhere at 100mph+ and hit him and there goes those cars.

If they were on a track racing against other drivers on a course, pushing their cars to the limits and making good times, THATS skill.

Passing random people on the highway wrecklessly, going between cars even though there is no lane there, THATs not skill, thats luck they didnt get their *** hit.

Yeap, this is one video out of thousands... There have been numerous amount of accidents because of this type of "racing" in Japan. Though it looks like these guys were just having fun/showing off to 360video. I don't think I have the ***** to do wangan ****, the track is where it should be at.

Im not defending theyre actions, it is really dumb and dangerous, but when your doing 100+, and you have to cut in between two cars, with a foot to spare, that takes complete control of your car, knowing the outside dimensions exactly, having perfect timing, etc. Thinking that fast, making those split second decisions, and committing to them, that is not luck. The video says that theyve been doing it for a long time, on that highway, so I doubt there have been many, if not any, accidents. That, also, is not just luck.

I would ageee that it doenst take skill just stupidity. Now if they where swerving like that through traffic with say a supra... then i would be impressed... it would still be stupid but more impressive. A hatch with any kind of decent swap is like a go cart almost anybody could do that.

I am really surprised how many people give these guys any credit saying they have skills. I watched the whole video looking for skill. They were all driving slow peices of **** not even at that high of speeds. Weaving into lanes then back out not even to avoid cars but just to look like they have 'skillz'.

I would be somewhat impressed if theyre civics looked like they were slightly fast or they were actually racing each other and the weaving was a by product of this. All I saw in the video was a bunch of econoboxes with window nets trying to see if they could fit into tight places at like 80mph.
