Bass Tube Experiences??

Hey, this is my first post in the audio/visual section. i just had my car broken into this weekend and they made off with 2 10" in a box and my 500W RF amp. They tried to pry my deck but were unsuccseful. So basically i need a new setup. My previous setup was great... almost too great. it would hit a lot harder than i needed it to and i tuned it down alot.

I've heard the good and the bad about bass tubes. I'm not lookin to shake the freeway as i'm driving. All i want is a nice deep bass sound INSIDE the car for my music. i've seen different setups and heard a 10" bass tube in my friends CRX and it wasnt bad at all.

I have an FC with the hatch cover. has anyone had any experiences with these at all. I dont care what car you own. i'd just like to hear some opinions and experiences. i like the fact the its small and could make great bass inside the car and thats all i need. just lookin for previous experiences or pro advice. thanks for your help

my dad has one in his 85 and it's under the cargo bins, it hits hard when he wants it to.
I'm planning to get one and do the same for my 87

I was able to fit my 400 watt amp and a 10" Bazooka EL series tube in my drivers side bin.A nice setup since my pasenger bin still has room for my battery and some tools.
The EL is self powered,so its all one unit.It BARELY fits, but its totally hidden since I was able to get the bin lid on, and my rollcage prevents theft completely.
Been setup for almost 4 years and Ive had no overheating problems at all.It hits pretty good, although I only listen to metal and country.Another 10" EL in the passenger bin would probably make a big difference.I have put in a few rap CDs with bass, and it did alright...nothing spectacular.Nothing like what I had back in high school, when all the "bass madness" struck...but you know what, every system I ever had back then..............stolen!
