Ok, now that you did it... Is it absolutley needed that you weld new brackets? is there no way to just use 5 speed brackets to bolt it up?

well... you can weld new ones to use a five speed crossmember. or you can make a bracket like i did. i think when i get the time im going to have them weld up donor brackets from a 5 speed and do it the right way. but for now, im using 4" channel iron made up to specs from rotary ressurection's site. it seems to be holding up fine but i will go back and change it in time.

Hey lemme ask you a couple of questions.

So my car used to be an auto, but the guy that owned it before me made it a manual.

Here are my questions:
1. Did you change the gauge cluster so you can rev up to 8k (if its an s5).

2. Even if you didnt change the gauge cluster, isnt it bad to rev an "automatic" made engine to 7k or whatever. I was just thinking that since it was an automatic before, the engine wouldnt be used to handling such high revs.

just wondering, i didnt have 2 minutes to devote to the video so if the questions are answered during the vid, i apologize for not watching. I'll watch it when i get home from school tho.

lol,
no the auto cluster is still in the car. along with the blinking hold light. its funny, PRNDSL are still there as well. i dont give a **** tho, i just wanted the swap in. ill swap the S5 cluster in with time. but im not sure on the 8k rev question you are asking. i do know the reason the auto redlined @ 7k is b/c an auto tranny couldnt handle that stress. but having a manual in... well you could take it to 8k if you wanted to. but i think thats just useless. hope that helps. lol.

The rotary ressurection bracket will hold up fine. I've pushed at tons of drift event track days and now stress what so ever. I also have the auto cluster better. I like it more cause hte buzzer goes off earlier, and i now when I'm getting closer to redline sooner.
