I can set it up, if given a bit to get an FTP account set up and everything. I'd need to have advertising or a donate link or something on the page though, since hosting 500Mb worth of video isn't going to make my server too happy :P

Jesus. How long is it in total?
I could probably convert it to DivX or something similar and significantly reduce the file size. The problem is still that you'd have to get it to me in the first place though.
Any idea how long it would take to convert it to DivX on your side? I have hosting space, even enough for 3Gb of video, but it'd take forever to upload/redownload/convert/etc.

from what i can understand divx is similar to avi format and most sites can host either ive allready converted them 3 hrs a peice, i was going to upload one peice to a site someone mentioned but it was going to take 40 hrs for just 1 of the 4 peices, what i may do is record the footage in 15-20 minute segments and then upload as the file size should be under 500mb this will still be a very slow process, alternatively i can upload 15 minutes of good footage and people can buy the full dvd to watch at there will
Divx is a codec that can use the .avi container. XviD is a similar but better codec that also uses the avi container.
Here is a program that can convert vob files to divx\xvid avi files.
http://www.audio-mp3-recorder.com/al...erplatinum.exe
I have not tried this program but it looks ok. I use more professional software but this will get the job done.
Here is the Xvid codec.
http://download.divxmovies.com/XviD-1.1.2-01112006.exe
Once you have installed both, open up DVDripper. Click "File" then click "Open VOB" browse to where the files are and select the first vob file. It will scan the vob file for a few seconds and show some info such as file duration in the main window. Now look at the right side of the program under OUTPUT. Click settings where it says format. Select XVID as the video codec then click the config button. Click the button that says "Target Quantizer" it will then become "Target Bitrate" enter 800 you can go higher if you want the higher you set it the larger the file will be. 800 kbps is a decent bitrate though. Then click ok and click ok to the avi settings window. Set the output folder to where you want the files to go. Then click start in the center and select encode. It will ask you to register the program, just click later. The Xvid window will pop up and show a bar graph with some data that you won't need to worry about, you can close that if you want and go back to the main program. Click the play button on the preview window and it will show the video as it is converting it.
There you go. Need any more help, let us know.
