that's disgusting....as if the whole ls1 swap wasnt bad enough..now this....

 

a friend of mine told me this car is the one i had sitting in my yard about 2 1/2 yrs ago...my ex had bought it with dead engine. if i had $4500 at the time we broke up, i could have kept the car...but she sold it

You have to admit that its a clean install.

 

I cant hate them a 4G63 powered eclipse was/is the record holder for fastest 4 cyl in nopi deffinately a stout engine

 

MASSIVE TURBO...with silicone intercooler piping...how cheap!

 

it is a pretty clean install, and it is a respectable motor. but the whole deal to rx's is the rotary i think. thats mostly the reason why i bought my 7.

go swap an ls1/4g63 in your moms oldsmobile. that'll turn heads.

 

how about a porsche boxer 6 in an FD with the RE Amemiya 997 POrsche front conversion? that would be sexy.

Yeah I think the whole point of the Fd is the rotary. Weather is 2, 3 or even the insane 4 rotor is fine by me. But to pull out the rotary and put in something else, for me ruins the car. It's like a Chevy guy taking his 67 sting ray and putting a ford cobra motor in it with a ford 9 inch rear end.......Chevy guys would shoot you on site! Thats how strongly I feel about it. If you want a mitsubishi buy a one. Or build the damn drag car from scratch and make it look like an FD on the outside. Leave these FD's for those of us that love the rotary. The good ones are hard to come by. Sorry for the rant......thats a bit more than just my 2 cents.

i hate when v8 guys have to use our cars to go faster after they talk so much **** about our cars. I HATE V8 7's.

I dont mind swaps within jap cars though.

alright now im pissed, im just gonna swap a rotary into every car i see now. why must people with no understanding of the rotary engine have to ruin a RX-7. i would love to see the look the look and how much hell someone would raise if a rotary engine was put in a vette or an eclipse or something like that. thats just my 2 cents

 

i like the install, i'm glad someone's got that much money in hand, but i must agree with these guys rx7s are meant to have the rotary that's why they're famous, not because they can be cool with some shitty piston engine.
