thats cool, but to me it sounds a little off once it hits boost? Maybe it's just that I'm used to a 2 rotor sound, but it just sounds like its ... not having as much fun as it could....

I seen lot's of country that do every rotary racing. If you guys want to see some real great drag videos go to www.grs-motorsports.com. I know this is not part of this thread but i think you guys will like it...
570 WHP at 17 PSI with a GT42 turbo and race gas is low. Mine made about the same at 14.5 PSI and 93 octane. I also think the tuning sounds a little off.
Having said this, imagine that much power in a first gen? Wicked.

I know the owner of the car but just posting the vid to show the kinds of cars we have in Trinidad. Keep in mind, they only have one drag strip (not really an official one) & tuning is hard down there because of the hot weather.

The power might me better if they removed the mesh screen from the front of the turbo. It would probably help it from droping the boost like it was at higher rpms in the video if I'm not mistaken.
That 'almost' is very questionable.

Interesting, would it make that much of a difference Crispeed? What's the thought behind that (says the unknowing guy)?
Hot weather does not make tuning any more difficult. It's much hotter and humid in different parts of the world. What would make a difference are the actual tuners/builders results.

This is very true. The figures for the setup are somewhat disappointing.
The particular tuner of this car is very conservative when it comes to rotaries, he can tune pistons pretty good though I have heard some complaints there too.
And being from Trini myself I can say we ain't no where close to the guys from PR when it comes to rotaries, maybe one day.
