Turbocharge a S4NA using RTEK

OK - I've searched the archives and found nothing I'm looking for so here goes: I have a 87 NA and was wondering if anyone has turbocharged this motor, using RTEK to clean it up properly.

Does this require a conversion first to the N332 ecu and then the necessary tuning to get it to run properly?

Thanks,
DB

your n/a AFM would be the limiting factor. other than that, i dont see why it wouldnt work.

i believe the turbo boost sensor is only used for timing, so you could tune around that, and just have it a static timing value for 0psi and up, like 25 degrees or something

It's going to be more the pressure sensor and the ECU's maps that will be a problem. The NA pressure sensor won't measure boost, and the NA ECU doesn't have fuel maps for outside it's sensor's expected range.

You'd probably be better off swapping in the turbo wiring harness, ECU, and get the Rtek 2.0 for the turbo ECU.

yeah i think you are right - i'd need to do a n332 swap which includes switching to a boost-capable sensor, get it running, and then swap in the rtek.
