yeah tell me about it,this is what i scooped out by hand in the tank.. this pile came from inside the barrier for the pump itself.

boost_its_what_for_dinner - Have you done a compression check? Hate to say it, but I think mine was a sign of soon to be side seal failure. I popped my engine. 8 or so months ago i did a compression check. The front was a bit low. Lower then 90psi. I had a pretty fresh rebuild and was told to keep driving it because the apex seals may have not worn in yet. I was boosting pretty good and at some point had popped a seal. Was not noticable until I hit idle and the car was bouncing a bit.

I am convinced the 2-3k lean sign was my engine about to go. Could be wrong though. Guess I really wont know until i slap a fresh engine in it.

Try a compresssion check, let me know what you find please. I tried everything to get rid of the tick.

I was runing 10-12 pounds of boost. Yes I was runing the stock timing map. I feel it has nothing to do with the RTEK.

1.5 years ago and 2-3k miles later or so. I hope it is not either. But for me, I tried everything under the ******* sun to correct my problem. When it "popped", I felt relieved in some ways. I still have 65psi on the front rotor. No completely blown.

Can you do a compression check for ***** and grinns?
