S5 Rtek 1.7

My setup in near future:

Rtek 1.7
750 secondaries (not 720), stock primaries
Complete S5 TII engine swap not ported in S4 NA FC
Stock intake box and piping with KNN filter
Stock top mount intercooler
Stock turbo
Full racing beat downpipe to oldschool racing beat RSR dual exhaust
10psi of boost

Is this a safe setup to just go out and hammer it through all gears when I want? Anything I need to worry about?

substitute 2.0 for 1.7 and better fuel pump and you should be alright

Oops forgot to mention I have a 20b Cosmo fuel pump that's re-wired in there, and the Rtek 1.7 is already purchased and in the car.

the 1.7 corrects for your bigger injectors.. which means you engine is seeing no more fuel than stock 550's. 550/750 is only good for 250whp, which a stock turbo can do at only 6psi with 3" exhaust. you will be at the limit even with a 2.0

if you want a safe setup, go with 750cc all around minimum (1000cc secs would be better), upgrade to rtek 2.0 and get a decent tune

Thanks for the input... I eventually will want to move the 750s to primary and get 1000 for the secondary and run Rtek 2.0+. I guess this will have to do for now.

550/720 is good for nearly 300whp really. Max duty cycle at redline was never more than 72% for me when I had that injector combo. My experience with a 1.7 chip was that it ran just a little on the lean side. With 12psi of boost tapering down to about 7-8 psi, AFRs were high 11s to low 12s.

^ Good to know

Since I have 750s as my secondaries and not the recommended 720s I am hoping the 30cc larger injectors will provide a nice little safe buffer and put at a mid to low 11s for my AFR.

That's almost a negligible fuel difference, but you'll have to see how it looks with a wideband. Every car's a little different. I used a 1.7 for 6 months before upgrading to the 2.1.
