RTek index data

Can someone explain to me how the index data works when view logs?

Does it reference the cell in the matrix? So if boost is 4 and rpm is a 6. does that mean column 6 row 4?

Is any one using the indexes for tuning? or is everyone just using boost and rpm?

Indexes are explained in the manual.

Turbo,

I have read the manual. My problem is that the index does not match my boost and rpm readings in the log. As an example in one of my logs, I click on a point and my boost is 11.8psi and the rpm is 5176. I then look at the index values and it 10 for both afc boost and afc rpm, which puts me in the 6psi/5120rpm cell.

Why is it that the boost is wrong and the rpm is correct?

the index values is where the computer calculated that squirt of fuel for that cycle. It is useful for tuning to see how the ECU is actually traversing the map. Sometimes the boost will ramp up faster than the ECU can measure per cycle causing a lower index cell to be used.
