quick question

with the rtek 1.7, do you absolutly have to buy a pda? im confused on that part, because there is no tuneing with the 1.7 right?

The 1.7 has no plug for a PDA. It does not require a PDA.

yes sir i read lots of stuff on their site. But I never found anything on what you need it for. I would guess its to record what your ecu is doing, but im not sure? if thats is it, why would you want that?

If you have to ask, then you probably don't need it.

When you start modding your engine, it's always a good idea to know whats going on in it. Using the data that you can log with the stage 2 Rtek7 and a PDA, you have access to this possibly engine-saving information.

In addition, the Stage 2 allows you to adjust fuel, timing, as well as other parameters for people that have mods. This is done through the PDA as well.

well you asked about the 1.7 and the PDA, it was mentioned the PDA cannot hook into the 1.7 so anything PDA related is irrelevant.

the PDA just is like a readout box and interactive tuning tool like a hand controller for a standalone EMS. the 1.7 is nothing like a standalone EMS so no need for a hand controller/PDA.
