Questions about 1.7

Hey i am thinking about getting the rtek 1.7 for my 10th ae. Right now it is basically stock with cats and a rb turbo cat back and stock ports and stock turbo. I plan to port the waste gate and i will not be able to get a wide band anytime soon so i was thinking instead of 720's i could go up to 750's or 800's for a little extra fuel just incase since it will be more fuel becasue it will be running at the rate of the 720? Also getting a fd fuel pump since i have a stock one in my fd and need to upgrade that so i can use it for my fc? I have too many cars and can keep buying boost controllers and widebands so i plan to keep this on mainly stock but want the extra high end security for when i do get on it. And i now i need to get a wide band but low funds.

well, i have the rtek 1.7 in my car, with RC 750cc secondary injectors. with the wideband, i had to turn them down some (have and apexi Neo) so, i wouldnt suggest it, unless you actually get 720cc, or, what would make more sense (to me, from what you have said you want to do with the car) is just get the rtek 1.5, that way you have all the features of the 1.7, but you dont have to mess with having the wrong secondaries. hope that helps your descision.

well, you mentioned porting your wastegate, so if you do that properly, you shouldnt have to worry about boost creep. also, the rtek has the whole deal where it retards timing and additional degree for every psi over 9, so if you have some creep, it should help to retard your engine more than the stock ecu would.
