Injectors/piggyback question

Okay, the site says that if you run the size injectors that the chips call for, you don't have to have a piggyback fuel controller. Is this accurate?

For example, I'm wanting to run the v1.8 and 720cc injectors all around. I'll be running a full exhaust, open intake with as large an FMIC up front as I can get, and 10~11psi.

Will this setup work ok without the extra expense and complication of an S-AFC?

Says you'd only need it for fine tuning, and words it in a way that implies that it's no longer necessary.

Well I suppose it should be rewritten a bit as it assumes that you know the chip isn't "magic" that can handle all situations. The need for additional control is entirely based on the mods you have and boost level you plan to run and it is entirely up to you to make sure you have enough fuel.

For stage 1 chips we say stock turbo, upgraded fuel pump, injectors as per the chip you have, 12psi max and you'll be OK. Start adding boost, or exhaust and you are on your own.

As always, a wideband is very much recommended any time you are running higher than stock boost.

My intentions are an FMIC (+K&N intake), full exhaust, 720's, and 10psi on the stock turbo...for the time being. My budget won't allow for a $500 stage 2, plus I may be running an S5. I need to avoid the cost of the S-AFC if at all possible.
