VA Injector settings

I have the RTEK 2.1 and I am running 720 primary and 1000 secondary injectors. When I set the RTEK on 720/720 setting the car starts up really lean and the idle is dropping low. So I put the change the option to 550/720 and the car starts doing much better. So i ended up adjusting the idle and everything for this setting. I am currently running Solaron's fuel and timing maps. I havent been able to log yet and am waiting on a cable for my palm for that. I am not sure if the emulator for the laptop works well for that or not which is what I used to enter all the maps. So my question is do I use the 720/720 maps and start adding fuel to richen things up or do I leave it on the 520/720 setting. When I have made a few runs I noticed that the A/F mixture is running rich at around 10 when I get on it and will need to be leaned out a little. Any inputs?

any luck with the settings changed? if it works that way make your adjustments from there. Ive read a lot of folks switching to a lower setting and it working out better. im going to try it too, to see if makes a difference for me once i make sure all my intake stuff is sealed up tight.

yeah I just tried switching to the 720/720 settings and still the same issue like the one you're having. i got it to cruise in my neighbor hood but couldn't go past 8-6 in/hg or it would go crazy lean with. And that is with the fuel settings almost to %20 of fuel.

Your injectors are two different sizes, so go with the setting for injectors of different sizes. 550/720 is nearly the same difference as 720/1000

When you say its very lean what afr range are we talking about here? When did this start, with the rtek or after injector change?

With the injector change. I have two sizes that are over the required fuel set up it's asking (725/750). And the lean issue I'm talking about is it just cuts the fuel off, or feels like that cause the car sputters that hard. Also to note that I had the previous set up as 550/720 when I had 550/725 on and that cars work beautifully. So right now I have it on 550/720.

I was running a 1.7 Rtek with the 520/720 settings then upgraded to RTEK 2.1 and 720/1000 injectors. When I use the 720/720 settings the AFR's are all over the place up to like 17ish I guess it was. It wouldn't idle at 750. When I changed settings to 520/720 it settles down and I am able to manage the idle pretty good. I am happy with that setup, but was just curious was everyone else using 720/720 settings really when they have a similar setup.
