new product release from the SHACK check it out!! N/A header

i now have a run of these beauties in stock ready to ship so i thought i would share with the club first
this new product has been in testing for some time to insure maxium power/torque output with longevity in mind as well. this finished product ending up being made from 16 guage 304 stainless to minimise cracking. they are available with or without the crossover tube, as well as 12A or 13B.the primarys are 1-7/8" to a 2" merge collector to a 2-1/2" to a 3" collector.the exit size is 3" . these headers are guaranteed to make more power than any other production run header sold ! these are built to win races!!here are some pics, any questions are welcome

The crossover tube is for exhaust scavaging at a different RPM then what the collectors are aimed at. It gives you a broader peak TQ range. Instead of just a flat TQ curve it will have two peaks. Some prefer the old school without the crossover tube, some prefer the new style with the crossover tube for the broader torque band.

Do you have any shots of the collector? Maybe a comparison to the legendary SDJ collector? I'd also like to see Dyno graphs, these vs. RB SP header.

I as well. Any chance you can collect numbers from an RB exhaust so we have a comparison? I'm thinking of tossing my RB when I go BP, since it seems to be a restriction to higher power applications.

Don't expect dyno numbers anytime soon. It cost time and money to do a dyno, then dismantle the exhaust and put on another header plus tune the carb and dyno again. Even if we did this, won't guarantee us buyers. People that are really interested in obtaining the most possible power NA for their car will buy.

Gah....4 months ago and you would have had an order from me!

At this point I probably have to wait a couple years. So hopefully you have a third or fourth run by then.

Price per unit is going to be in the $700.00 range mainly because of the cost of the material being so high. The weight on the header is only 6 pounds.

How does this make sense? How do the "People who are really interested in obtaining the most possible power", know that this header will do that, without proof/dyno sheets? I mean, when you're charging (almost) 3 times what the popular competition is, I would think that you would need some proven, significant gains over it.

We will definitely do dyno comparisons when we get this chance and of course it will weight heavily into people's decision to purchase or not over the competitions. However, it doesn't give a guarantee at all. Now that the price is out, if we see some TRUE interest in the product given the suggested price, we will take the next step and do some dyno comparisons. Without even doing a dyno yet, we already have a few buyers that want it no matter what for their road race/track cars. I'd say if we had about 5-10 people on a list saying they were interested given that we provide dyno comparisons, we would do it.

Agreed, if i'm gonna drop $700 on a header I want to know its gonna be better than the rest like stated, not just take your word for it

Even the $25 Ebay chips that can "increase up to 150hp" have dyno sheets, sure they are complete BS but they made an attempt

The dyno sheets they show are complete BS and took no time or money to make. As I said before, it takes time and money to dyno a car and then swap exhausts, re-tune the carb and dyno again. Robert is the only one who runs Rotary Shack and is busy almost all the time. When there is some extra time available we will try and get this done. Feel free to have someone in socal drop off their car that has an RB header and we will use their car as a test sample.

I know that, hence why I said "sure they are complete BS but they made an attempt".

All i'm saying is from a business standpoint if you state "these headers are guaranteed to make more power than any other production run header sold" you should have numbers to prove it. If you don't have those numbers then how can you say its better than the rest?

I'm not trying to troll or anything, but again for a $700 header people are going to want to be sure its the best
