Chicago and WI caravan

Well, there's only about 2 months left, so I thought I'd be my usual preemptive self and get a thread going about the caravan. I've been told that the WI guys would love to be part of a huge gaggle of 7s that are going to Indy.

So that said, who'd planning on going down and when? I'm taking that Friday off, so anytime is good with me. I was hoping to leave somewhat earlier, but not during rush hour.

Who's planning on going Friday and when?

To the WI folks, particularly Greg, have you guys been giving this any thought yet? Any ideas?

Christian

I said WI, not IA!

Of course you can tag along. Don't forget you are an honorary Chicagoan.

Yes, I have been! So far we only have a few fols registered, but I know who they are and I expect that we'd caravan. I'm also trying to bring along some folks from the Northstar club, hopefully we get into the double digits here soon!

Cool.

As it stands now, probably leave around 4-5 that day. Traffic won't be all that bad down 294 suprisingly. It may not be as fast as we'd like, but we'll have plenty of time on 65 for that.

We'll also have a pick of two meeting places. A-Spec has said ok to meeting up at their new place in Schaumburg, and Bill has mentioned a lot where he works that's rather large near the soon to be former A-Spec location. Either place will work. He made a good point about traffic up in Schaumburg at that time, so the Lombard location may be better.

I'm all about leaving early to get there at a decent time.

radkins, sounds good. I'll give everyone my # as the date approches so you can all contact me if/when needed.

This will be a killer cruise.

HAHAHAHAHAH....well, to be fair, Tom has to be included...maybe Joe too.

You are going, aren't you?

Didn't even notice...yeah for 2k posts.

To be clear...yeah, we drive fast as hell, but no cutting people off and swerving in and out of traffic...that's not my style.

Yeah, I know what it says. I'm working on the domain name thing. Sucks when you're not hosting the content with the same co as the domain name.

My bad for not answering right away. It's possible that we may have the meeting point a little more south. If we do, could you meet us there? I'll let you know where if it goes through.

Otherwise, if you can pick a large enough spot, I'm sure we can.
