You obviously live in the wrong state.. Move to Florida or to the North East and you'll see so much crazy rotaries, it sometimes makes you sick.
Great job by the entire PAC team. Their new Mazda 6 looks to be on a mission for the world record. The ET record might be an easy one, but that 209 is staying in the US for a while

Even more impressive. The Australian car have a true 3/4 chassis, meaning they are all mazda from the firewall forward. Our cars have the firewall & strut towers, but everything else is gone, so that makes it a 7/8 chassis
A few of the Oz cars even run a factory type front suspension with a coilover

Don't know where you guys got that whole "400m track" from, but the some of the Australian tracks are NHRA certified. Actually ANDRA is the Australian equivalent to NHRA.
Quite often some of our NHRA top fuel guys make the trip over to Australia to race..
ANDRA base their rules on the NHRA S/C rule book, so that should give you an idea on weight etc..
