What's a good Gear for a 2,000 lb turbo car ((( 4.56 to low ? )))
Just picked up the new ride, it's gonna be 2,000 lbs with me in it. I'm going to pick up a 8.8 today and the person has some 4.56 gears for a decent price. Are those too low for a light turbo car?
What would be the best gear?

Depends on tire size, turbo size, transmission ratios, flywheel weight, and what MPH your expecting IMO.
Here is a good calculator for the ultimate potential of a given ratio with a given tire size.

With a 26" tire, 9000 RPM redline, 4th gear (1:1?), and a 4.56 you potential is 152 MPH. That does not take into account tire growth. It sounds like a good gear to me but i don't have enough rotary experience to say for sure.
