I went to the track Friday night, paid 15 to get in and put 4 gal of gas in $40 only to make one pass and get buted for no helmet. Its always been hit or miss out there but I just need to get one for the future.. So what are you guys using? Is there a low profile model? I do not have much room up top. I was just going to buy one from Jegs for $120? Open face?

Also on cages. I want to know if I put in a 4 point will that get me by at a real track with a real tech guy? For 10.99- I know they say 6 point...

I got my helmet from Jegs, it was under $100 for a full face black one. It was made by Zamp I think.

Just go ahead and get a 5 pt, that is all that's required. A 5pt is a 4pt plus one door bar on your side, you can make that one a swing out and take the side bar off when on the street, that's how mine is made. Anything over 135MPH you will need a cage but it is rarely enforced.

The place that did Ernie's cage has a kit they sell and you can have it welded in, I think they used his car to make the kit.
