what does a rotary classify as in an import race?

hey can anyone help me with some info on import race rules on were a rotary fits in. i live in hilo hawaii and there is an import race here that i currently run in, but recently there has been some hear say that my 13b is a 6cylinder. and may not be able to run with the rest of the 4cylinder honda and vw. is there any rules or notes that may say that its okay for 2 rotors to run against 4 cyliders. if so would like to show the event holder here. thanks

Every race and series are different, you'll have to look up the rules for that particular race.

thanks but this particular race, the person making the rules is refering to mainland rules that are random hear say stating 2 rotors cant race against 4 cylinder due to being unfair. is there any events that allow 2 rotors to compete against 4 cylinders in a fair or handy cap way.thanks

Don't let them pull that **** on you. That's what they did here in the states and made the rotary guys have to weigh 200lbs more. Now the HOnda's are running 9.3's at 150mph in the 1/4 mile all motor class. I'll have to search for the actual equation that works out the comparison but I think a 1.3 liter rotary equates to a 2 liter 4 cylinder. Either way the Honda guys are making 350+hp to the wheels on a single overhead cam engine these days on an all motor car. Go to NCSRA website and check the rules there and show those to your event holder. Those are actually some decent rules that are pretty fair for both sides.
