Studs/dowels

After the recent thread "snug fit stud kit" ive been thinking. First off i personally never studded nor doweld a a engine but seen a few stud kits get done. I understand theres pros and cons to both.... Now my idea in my head is i want to add extra dowels and stud it Orjust add extra dowels but i want them to go all the way threw the block form one side to the other, in my head that makes sence. am i way off here?? People dont like to post there "secrets". Who has done this and can give me great info?
Were are people adding the extra dowels when there just doweld?

If you're talking about doing a one piece dowel all the way through don't do it. I remember a guy that did this and kept breaking his front iron because of it. When he went back to four dowels the motor ran fine without breaking.

Dowel is cheap and you can do it at home( if you know what to do) and studing is cheap and can be done at home ( only if you know what you're doing) Doweling you can run with the stock flywheel studding would require a lightweight flywheel. Good luck!

Contact poncho he can do studing or dowel for cheap.
