Stock Motor "Enzo Racing" FD goes 9.85@142.9 MPH
So were at Atco raceway testing my brothers car and went 9.96@143
were going to try another pass in a few minutes and hopefully go even faster we have videos later tonite |
Men that's great new Enzo...
BIG CONGRATULATIONS to you and your brother |
Big congrats indeed. I heard a rumor that they didn't even have it set on "kill". That thing is an animal!!! It's truly amazing that a bone stock motor can take that much abuse!!! One hell of a tune, one hell of a driver :icon_tup:
9.85@142
HOLY MOTHER MARY!!!
IT KEEPS ON GETTING BETTER!! |
DAMNNNN!!! that car is working. big congrats to driver, tuner, and the engine builder somewhere in hiroshima! simply amazing on the stock motor.
pics or any vids?
Hey roan some inspiration for u is that this was done at 28psi and 620hp
so get that car out of retirement and getter her done! |
Videos tonite when we get home were still at the track
which track? i m in ny and wanna see this happening !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Btw roan let's not forget even though the engine was built somewhere in japan it was blessed by thunder racing
Atco raceway in NJ

Great numbers enzo250.. maybe you can help some fellow members to reach such numbers :) |
sweeet congrats!!!
that's awsome guys!
Congrats Enzo that is awesome. :icon_tup:
wow, congrats and on pump fuel too!
Okay here you go...
This was the first run of the day.. It spun pretty bad and went a 1.71 60ft.. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2nqBP...eature=channel Now I made a slight adjustment to the 2 step rpm and also tire pressure adjustment and were going in the right direction as it now went 1.64 60ft http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bm5Ea...eature=channel I felt the tires weren't upto the correct temps as it was pretty cool out today and my brother wasn't doing big enough burnouts .. So after an ear full from me he went 1.55 60ft and the first 9 sec pass. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppogQ...eature=channel I knew the setup was close and felt a little bit more tire pressure could be taken out and so I did it and we got it down to a 1.46 60ft and 9.85 et... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7C7hM...eature=channel So the question now is where do we go from here? The car definitely has alot more to go.. It's only running 28~29psi and really needs to be around 36~40psi. I know this car can probably make somewhere around 750~800hp if i push it, but the problem is how much longer can the stock motor hold up? How much more can the stock tranny hold? How long will the ACT clutch hold up to this abuse? Or do we simply say it's had enough and let's just leave it alone :) |
"We need a parachute on the back of that thing":lol::lol:
I vote for leaving it like it is till he gets a stockpile of transmissions and engines. Oh and a cage too:lol: Great job again guys, that is quite an accomplishment all the way around! |
Thanks Allen...
We were hoping you would've stopped by today... |
I really wish i could have but i had to work late. I will see you guys out next weekend though without a doubt!
all I can say is Im impressed. As in stock motor.. do you mean stock port?
Leave it as is, let him enjoy it for awhile...........
See you soon. |
congrad's on the 9s! its moving good
very nice guys! What were the 1/8th mile times and trap speed?
Leave it alone for now..... 9.80's is stupid fast, and your not breaking shit yet! But a few more passes like those and you'll need a trans and clutch sooner rather than later. For now I say have fun with it!!! Congrats on putting another rotary beast on the street!!!

Ok so heres the info on the passes. After fiddling with a mixture of tire pressure, rpm and burnouts I progressively did better each run.
First Pass 60' 1.718 330 4.542 1/8 6.780 MPH 107.06 1000 8.705 1/4 10.307 MPH 142.18 Second Pass 1.644 4.439 6.658 108.50 8.557 10.143 143.52 Third Pass 1.554 4.288 6.453 113.58 8.371 9.965 143.02 Fourth Pass 1.465 4.156 6.354 114.32 8.262 9.852 142.99 I just counted all my time slips. If you dont count the Gt35 run last year, my 9th time ever on the strip got me in the 9s :). And then I backed it up with another one. Thanks for all the comments guys. |
Congrats!!!
Awesome job guys. Congrats to Enzo and Anthony! And be happy with your 60' times. As they drop, so will your output shaft ;)
Hey Anthony, it's time to update that sig, and the other Anthony, it's time to update " the list".
AWESOME!! Glad to see some FD's out there layin it down!! Keep it up :D
Congrats Ant!!!!! I know you have been working really hard on the car and all your hard work paid off. It's crazy sick that you did this with a stock motor and stock tranny.
Your car redefined what the rotary world is normally used to and I'm sure taught everyone a few things including myself. You see a bunch of high dollar turbo kits, thousands in motor mods etc and in the end you and Enzo proved that it can be done reliably without following the hype. Even the fuel is E85 and a few dollars a gallon. Congrats again and a little birdie told me that your setup is going to be duplicated and will be for sale shortly. Enzo Racing 9 sec proven turbo kit. (just need a stock motor lol) Anthony PS, I'll update the list in a few!!! |
so all runs were done on the same psi? or did you turn it up a tad on the last 2 passes?
Same boost on all passes if u notice the trap speeds stayed the same but the et kept improving
Looks like you and Tearbo2 have a little competition on the fastest stockport stock trans.
Once again an incredible time. :) Good job guys, if you got the pockets keep pushing it. It that thing goes 9.5 on stock motor and trans that would be insane. You guys still on stock axles as well? What diff brace? That car is leaving hard and staying together well.
the diff broke last time we went out. So we put a ford 8.8 cobra diff and Driveshaft Shop stage 5 axles and driveshaft.
This car will definitely go 9.5 or better and over 150mph. There's still plenty of power left in the tune. It's making anywhere from 610~620hp at 28~29psi. We made 709@33psi and It should make in the neighborhood of 750hp if I really push the tune. Although the car at the current level is very consistent and conservative enough that will probably live a long happy life. We made four passes yesterday and all 4 were between 142~143.5mph. Motor doesn't skip a beat and behave's just fine. Why mess with it... :) |
congrats on the times NOW take that sucker to the street races and make some easy money....
Congrats!
Stock port engine and trans...f'ing incredible. |
Those type R(turbo2 and 3rd gen trannys)are strong.im not saying that they are great for running this kind of numbers or handling that insane amount of horespower but they are strong, look at EL PA DATSUN it ran 8.2 last night with a turbo 2 transmision and the goal is 7 second so i think that you might be able to put some more power to the ground and get better ETs out of that beast,CONGRATS on the numbers.

Stock port engine and trans...f'ing incredible. enzo racing has a close relationship with a great engine builder, and when the thunder racing streetport motor goes in there, things are REALLY gonna get intresting |
what gears and lsd are you running on that FD?
Stock Cobra Diff and 4.10's.
Congrats! Thats some awsome passes
Awww Ernie, you're so sweet :)
