Shoemaker finally starts working on his own shoes!!!

Enzo how hard is it to tune a 150+mph Cigarette boat? do you tune it on an engine dyno or in the water? I always wondered about engine load or lack there of, whenever the prop leaves the water.. I know the throttle man has to keep track of that, but how does that affect your tune?
Wow your friend is a lucky guy

As for engine load in the water the engine is under the most load it will ever see. They say if an engine survives in a boat it will survive anywhere.
The boats normally require two people to pilot it. One guy on the steering and the other on the throttles. And yes if your not in the water the throttle guy has to come off the throttle or you'll have a broken drive...
Here's a video of me tuning a race boat at over 190mph...
Enjoy it as it will be the last time i ever go that fast in a boat as i'm not getting in that thing next month when they try to go 203mph..

It's an 1984 engine.
Here's some more info about them:

Dem that video was sick.... Power boat racing is very big in Trinidad and most of our boats compete in PR and the caribbean.. My father was involved with boats when I was younger, so I always had a facination with them..
Every summer we have a big race call the "Great Race" and its from one island to the next.. All the big boys pull out their multi-million dollar toys for this one

I love those 4cyl 2strokes. Too bad we don't get these over here:

My next project after this car is finished is to get my NSR250 back up and running..
I have always loved old school Japanese 2-strokes. I have had 2-500cc kawi triples, 2-750 kawi triples, and a 350 triple. The newest bike i ever owned is an 85 GpZ 750 turbo
