Rotary saftey rules....?
I've searched it in this section before, still don't really have a clue on the subject, but what are the rules about scatter shields. Like what material, thickness of material, and what all does it have to exactly cover. The reason I'm asking is I'm building my car, with hopes of going into the 10's and I want to make sure I have all the right safety features. The fab guy that will be installing the cage will also be the one building the scatter shield. So if anyone has any pictures, please post them so I could give him something to go by. And/or what materials it would need to be built out of and how much of the bell housing it needs to cover. Thanks! Derek

Another topic I am also interested in. Not to highjack, but I'm also interested in any info regarding scatter shields and the use of scatter blankets instead of the shield, in an effort to save weight.
Thanks for any info in advance.
