requirements for running 10.00

ending last summer running 11.5 @ 132mph on my last few runs. looking to utilize my 2 step launch control and drag slicks next year and i was wondering besides the 6 point roll bar what else would i need to run 10.00. i already have a helmet and jacket from last year. do i need a suit or is a jacket still ok? do i need a SFI bell housing? and 5 point harness? what about seats? thanks in advance. i have been reading the rule guide and its confusing the hell out of me...

**Safety Requirements for NHRA (Rollbar, Rollcage, harness, etc) - TrueStreetCars.com

Best explanation I've found you have to go through a bunch of stuff once you go 6.39 in the 1/8 or 9.99 in the 1/4. I've gone 6.8 in the 1/8 @ 107 with a lot of problems off the line so I'm thinking car should go mid to low 6's in the 1/8 with a good launch https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jYSbT3kTJzc vid of my car it's the very last pass on the vid. And it depends on the track and the officials I try to be as friendly as I can with them most of them are really cool and will tell you what is needed and expected at that particular track. Last time I was at the track only thing they hit me on is I didn't have a race jacket and fastest they would let me run was 6.40. I have 12 point cage, drive shaft loop, helmet and scatter shield.

thanks for the input! like i said, judging by my 1/4 mile MPR and times i now for sure ill be faster then 11.5 with LC and slicks no problem! i have a copy of the rule book but when i read it my ADD kicks in bad and i find myself reading 5 times and still not getting it to stick... i did notice a small quick reference guide . and according to that it looks like i need a roll bar. harness, helmet, drive shaft loop, and flywheel shield. it says the roll bar has to be .118 mild steel or chromoly. but it doesnt say what the tubing process needs to be. can it be EWS or does it have to be DOM?

The rollbar must be constructed of minimum 1 ¾ inch o.d. x .118 inch wall mild steel tubing, or 1 ¾ x .083 chrome moly tubing. The roll bar can be bolted or welded to the floor, see diagram for specs. Roll bar must be padded anywhere the driver's helmet may contact it while in the driving position.

If you click on this link **Safety Requirements for NHRA (Rollbar, Rollcage, harness, etc) - TrueStreetCars.com it pretty much breaks it down to you what is required for the times you run.

And use DOM steel if you can fork it go 4130 chromoly tubing which needs to be TIG welded but I know guys who have MIG welded 4130 and pass NHRA inspection. Guess it's up to who is inspecting it or how good the person who is welding it. My buddy MIG welds chromoly and it is a work of art. Good luck hope this helps you out some.
