renesis/nitrous/carbed..something different for me

im not sure if there is anyone running the renesis as a race motor. but i have decided to do it... this motor was originally being built for a daily driver. but i already have built to many dialy drivers. its time to try something different... trying something different is the theme for me on this build.

this what i have set up right now:

4 port (lower power-200) renesis core
12a front cover
13b timing gear (rx8 one runs the opposite way)
12a distributor
custom oil pan

I have a few questions for the pros on where to go from here...

1. I bought the 6 port plates (higher power-236) to swap the 4 port into a 6 port. but im thinking now, maybe i should leave the 4 port plates and do a semi-pp on the housings and leave the plates untouched. since not much porting can be done on these anyways. or just clean up the ports and make it a 6 port motor. any suggestions here?

2. I was originally planning on ITBS/microtech and all that, but like before. i have always gone EFI. i want something different. so I decided to go carb instead of fuel injection. at the end of the day, its easier and cheaper. but i cant decide between a holley 650 or some 48 downdraft webbers. personally i have always liked the webers. but getting them tuned can be a problem. the only thing i dont mess with is tuning. and plenty of people can tune holleys. not so many tune webbers... so holley carb and RB (or similar) style manifold. or 48 IDA webbers and down draft manifold???

3. i will be running nitrous through this motor. this will be my first time going nitrous. every single car i have ever built in the past has been turbo. once again, im ready for something different. im planning to start with a 100 shot. the soon after jump to a single stage 200 shot. any tips on nitrous would be good. also, should i do anything special on the rebuild for the motor to handle nitrous? i always just clearence motors to Mazda stock specs.
