Question about race calculators
This is in reference to 1/8 mile to 1/4 mile calculators and vice versa. I was wondering about their accuracy when it comes to Rx-7s. For instance most amateur street Rx-7s struggle to get off the line and drive properly, therefor a decent time managed on the short track may suggest a much more respectable result in a full 1/4 mile. For instance let's say someone can easily get mid 11 second runs at Moroso (1/4) with Mickey Mouse driving, but the times achieved at Countyline (1/8) only reflect high 11s despite being much faster than at the halfway mark on the full track. Let's pretend that the short track also suffers from a trash *** surface. How would a person determine if they have "theoretically" broken into the 10.99s, if all practice runs are limited to an 1/8 mile? I know a 7.0 is pretty much a guarantee, but with mid-low 7s only is there any hope that the online conversion charts are incorrect? Sorry for the dumb *** question.

Never mind, I guess the car won't get any faster just because I switch back and forth between a short and a full track. Have a nice weekend

The times would change though based on the track pep.
So let's say at countyline you ran 7.0's then that's what you would get there.
Knowing the history of the car helps. You would obviously know if it's a good track or not based on prior 1/8 times.
BTW. I was there last night with two cars I tuned and both ran PB's in the 1/8th there with shitty 60ft's. Both cars were deep in the 5's!
One at 5.74@130mph and the other at 5.92@121mph. Going to the 1/4 later this week.

You know Chris, even though I taught you everything you know, it seems you're always at least 2 seconds faster. I mean, when I first broke the 12s, you were running low 10s. When I made 11s my biatch, you were running low 9s. Now that I'm finally in the 7s like everyone else (1/8 mile), you're doing 5s... wait, you've been running 5s for about 15 years already... never mind!
