Please Donate- Haiti need's your help

OK drag guys, let's try to help out the people of Haiti in their time of need.. Please don't delete this post.

This is a very tragic situation.... Being from NYC, I have quite a few Haitian friends and most of them have family that's still missing

Please help to donate food, clothing or money to various LEGIT organizations in your area.. This is a very poor country and they need all the help they can get.

Insanerotaries.com has placed a link on their website to support Wyclef Jean's - Yele Haiti earthquake fund. Please spread the word around to other websites that you frequently visit.

Thank You

Aaron

Spread the word... These guys need all the help they can get.

Men I had quite a few Haitian workers throughout the years.. I hope none of those guys lost their lives or love one's in this mess.

I'm sure most if not all of your Miami or NYC guys know a few Haitians... This tragedy could have affected other islands close by where our friends and family live, so please donate in whatever way you can.

^ yea men, me too.... I'm sure you had a few haitian friends in highschool

Hold up... thinking about it now, the Panamanians and Haitians would always be together while the Trini's, Jamicans & guyanese stir up all the trouble

Ok, we are making some progress... Today Luis from Paradiseracing.com also placed a "Help" banner on his site. Please spread the word to on other forums

Anthony, is it possible to put something up on Tony's site? You can use the same banner if you like.

Thanks

I donated $20 to Yele and also to the RED CROSS. Not sure why I did not post. I have a few close friends who were trying desperately to reach their parents in Haiti. After he reached his mom finally, he could not reach his dad. Finally he got word that his dad was safe too. It's a very sad situation.

Some may not feel comfortable donating to wyclef, I did since I know he is on the ground in Haiti and assisting. If you do not feel comfortable not knowing where your money is going please read the following.

"Name recognition is the easiest way to avoid a scam, say experts. The Red Cross and Yéle Haiti are two of the most well known charities working in Haiti. And donors should always do due diligence. The Charity Navigator evaluates more than 5,000 of the country’s largest charities and warns donors of questionable charities." If you would rather donate to the Red Cross it's as easy as sending a text from your cellphone. All you have to do is:

To donate $10 to the Red Cross, send a text - type the word “Haiti” to 90999.

Here is another article

"Verifying the deal - Geraldine Gray, a Houston-based consultant, texted to donate $10 to the Red Cross after seeing fellow Twitter users announce they had just given as well. Normally wary of texting , she went to the Internet to verify carriers were really participating.
“Once I knew it was real, I sent the text and the whole process took less than a minute,” said Gray . “It was easy.”
For Brian Webb, a Missouri City resident, it was a way to help despite being so far away.
“You see it, and you kind of feel helpless when you see all this calamity going on you're here and don't know what to do,” said Webb, who texted to donate to the Red Cross. “I was just playing a small part, but if we all gave $10, what a difference that could make over there.”"

I would say to donate to the Red Cross, it's only $10

You can also donate to the Bill Clinton foundation on this link.

Most local banks have special accounts setup to accept donations...

Be sure to do donate to a LEGIT organization because that's the only way to know for sure that your money is being spent to help those folks in Haiti.

So far I haven't seen those scammers that walk around the city with their clipboards collecting money for the needy. Some people got no heart I tell you. They wait for things like this happen so they can scam innocent people out of their herd earned money.

Earlier today a 5.9 quake shook Venezuela.. It's scary because Trinidad is only 7 miles away from Venezuela.

Its so sad to see these innocent children lying there dead. How can people turn their backs to what happened, we all have to remember that this can happen anywhere and to anyone. It will take Haiti a long time to recover from this.

Guys, thank you for your donation! From word of mouth I was told my family and friends are ok. I haven't talk to anyone since the quake-no power, no phone, no tv, no radio. I plan to bring some goods for my fam and friends as soon flights resume. I only have memories now, all the major landmark were destroyed.

To avoid scams go with Red Cross.

Haiti needs our help guys, we are so fortunate that we are in a country (Canada) or United States, that inables us to discus cars instead of worrying where our next meal will come from.

Let us give thanks for what we have and share with our fellow humans in need. God has blessed us, so, lets spread the blessing to our brothers and sisters.

Thanks guys.
