Thanks for the updates Aaron. It was a great event, I ended up taking 2nd place after the Sean Ivey Supra. I've known since we were teenagers, he's an excellent tuner. http://iveytune.com/

The street class had a 9 sec bmw (owner of a shop in NJ, really nice guy), a 9 sec supra (Sean Ivey), a 12 sec subaru and me. There were a few other cars but they did not make qualifying in time, they were stuck in tech and had to run brackets.

1st pass was 11.4, I bogged in the hole, the car was way too rich. This was just qualifying so it was good enough. 1st round against the BMW, he's been 9.50's but had some issues. I ran a 10.8 against his 11.0. Sean coasted slowly to beat the subaru.

Finals is Sean and I. Getting ready to run with one car in front my drivers window switch failed. I can't get the window up. I asked Sean to back up and wait for me and he did (he really didn't have to and I would be dq'd). The official comes over and says hes running the 2 cars in the next class and then I'm dq'd. I can't fix it and I ended up breaking it. A few guys from Team PR team come over and start helping me, they pop the switch open and used their keys to close the circuit and the window goes up, just in time.

Sean and I line up, I do a small burnout. Now here's the good part, guess who lines me up? Jesus Padilla! That was the highlight of my day!!! I was lined up kinda bent and he straighted the car out for me. We line up now and I know I had to have a good reaction time. I ended up getting a full 1/2 second on the supra. My reaction time was .10 something and his was .60 something. In the end it was not good enough and I ran a 10.7 and lost to his 10.0. He pulled up next to me at the end of the track and we talked a little and I thanked him for waiting for me.

So ended up getting 2nd place and a couple hundred bucks and a trophy. Plugs are not breaking anymore and no signs of cracks (thanks tearbo2 lol) I was dissapointed with the car since my best mph was 131. The car was in the low 10's air fuels and I kept pulling fuel out little by little each run but it did not help the mph. Found that issue, the timing ended up being 4 deg at 30 psi after I looked at the datalog. 13brx3 helped me find out why lol. It was a keystroke error in a correction map that I rarely look at. Thanks for your help 13b!

We all had a good time, thanks Aaron for the pics, nyce1s for the coverage, Javier Ortega for the great parking spot for all the cars and setting up a nice event. A bunch of forum members were there, we hung out with killito, watch out for his 3rd gen coming soon!, rotoryboyz for the coverage and pics, speednyc brought a few toys to the track, 13brx3 and I did some tuning lol, everyone had a good time. My car is loading up way to rich as the 4 secondaries come in so I should have that tuned out by then, I should have hit a test and tune but didn't have time.

See you guys at the Pan Ams!!!

Anthony

Yeah, I had him by a full 1/2 second at the tree but caught up quick lol.

That's correct, the car is a mid 9 sec supra but he could not go into the 9s again, they warned him. He FLEW past me and hit the breaks hard so he did not get disqualified. It's funny watching a car pass that fast lol.
