a friend of mine did exactly that,bent a piece to the shape of the bell housing,painted it to mactch the one from lakewood,just to be on the safe side he took the rule book outlined that section,but the tech at woodburn never said anything.

My paint guys taking his sweet *** time, I have to get the car back and re assemble it in like 3 weeks to be ready for pinks in June. I’m hoping to get her back Thursday. If I do I’lll hopefully be making shields on Sunday…. Were close, just need the freaking car back…

You know I’m pulling every sting I can when I’m picking the car up from paint on mothers day. I should have the first 3 done Saturday.
