Making the TII trany work

I am getting thoroughly frustrated with this car.

For the 2nd time , I have broken something int he 5th/Reverse set. that- and the car has never shifts as well as I want with whatever clutch/trans/fluid set up was in it. the car has new hydrolics, new TOB, good Pilot

What fluid do the guys going 10's or better use? I have gathered that the Tii trans seems to like heavier fluid.

What clutches are you guys using? I'll take any suggestions at this point.

Could pinion angle be to blame? I have a little bit more angle at the output shaft than a standard rotary powered RX-7.

Any other suggestions as to what I could be doing WRONG? Im all ears...

Only two broken trannies.
I have at least nine broken ones from just my T2 when I use to run that car. I know at least two that broke on the dyno.

Actually it's called torque.
Just as it got into to boost it broke the gear. Half of my trannies were broken like that on the street also. The rest was just plain abuse.
The worst stock tranny I've broken was one from an FD where the bottom shaft tried to exit the case!
