No where in the above quote was Ernie mentioned. As a matter of fact the above quote has notting to do with Ernie or his motor.

I've never had to change rotors or housing since I've switched to RA seals
OEM and even Atkins can cause havoc

Since Ernie dynoed 700+rwh with those Atkins cryoed seals just wondering at what point did they fail for him to replace them w/ the black seals.

Ok, the same was said with the Hurley seals !!!!
But you still had to open up the motor to replace seals.

Based on many pics posted on here, RA seals are not very friendly on rotor housings on higher mileage motors.
Maybe you have been lucky.

You mean those what appears to be wear marks?
Its very minute and has no effect on performance
Of course are we talking daily drivers or "purpose built" street cars like mine and Ernies

I rather open up a motor and change a seal and close her up
then have to replace rotors, turbos, housings etc

Seems like those abnormal ware marks on the housings were due to the early apex seal design. I've seen what RA seals do to the housings in a couple of motors. But then again I know of people not having any problems also. I wonder if that problem has been solved with the new seal design.

Yeah but what's weird is that a year later not too many guys are talking about the markings on the housings and I know a lot have seen them! It's like it's the X files.
