Hurst Roll control line loc install?
I just recently picked up a Hurst r.c.l.l, I've searched and didn't come up with any really clear answers to installing line loc. Has anyone did or recently got a line installed?.. If so, can you provide a good write up with pics?... Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Will work for horsepower
I dont have a good write up but ill try to provide a picture.
I have rear brakes i just had an issue its fixed now. I did remove the abs but it doesant matter on the line lock.
You just find the rear single brake line off the master and install it on top of the master. A defrost switch is a momentary switch you could use it or the head light cover switch or add your own switch.
I hope the picture works.

I have the Hurst line lock on, I will try and take some pics this weekend and upload them for you. It pretty simple, You just have to block the two side ports and connect the two middle port by splicing in between the front brakes - brake drum and abs block.

If you pass on broadway anytime this week I can offer to look at it and give you an idea. I did a few on non ABS cars, but it should not be a problem.
Actually I just ordered a Jegs solenoid for someone

Theres only one brake line on the abs or non abs its very easy.
A. find the brake line that feeds the front brakes.
B. cut the brake line and install brake line fittings with line lock supplied fittings (flare) type.
C. Bleed the brake lines and check for leaks.
D. Wire the power and button as in the instructions.....I use the defrost rear window switch.

Yea its pretty straight forward...
On the FD, there are 2 lines coming off the master. You have to tap into the front brake line before it enters into the ABS pump, so that means you either cut by the master (pictured above) or you cut by the ABS pump. The front brake line coming off the master is the one on the inside, closest to the reserviour (pictured above) so you can mount your solenoid by the brake booster or trace the front line down to the pump and mount your solenoid there.
Once you have your tubing cut, flared & connected you need to bleed the brakes then you're on to wiring which is pretty easy.
If you have a problem understanding when I just said, then bring it to my store (bway & post) and I'll show you exactly which line needs to be cut.
