I'm seeing lots of reasons why some folks are getting a bit defensive. Remember that many are not trying to impress you true racer types, some of us are just trying to have fun on the street with cars we build in our own garage making a measly 500-750hp on 93 octane, doing it with a different powertrain to satisfy your personal tastes makes it a bit more special for the owner (you know, the guy that owns and drives the car, aka the only one with an opinion that really means anything unless they are trying to sell their services or parts). Now ignore what I just typed because I love reading these threads

SO that should speak for itself. My blood was rotary from the get go. My uncle had orange rotary station wagon i used ot ride in as a baby.

I like v8's.. JUST not the pushrod type... I like euro v8s. Like the BMW ones or maybe ferrari 430 v8..

ROFL.. DJ seriously please.. you sent me 1 pm. and at that time my car was down cause i was installing a new intercooler or i would have embarrassed you again. And you wouldnt be able to impress me if you tried.. its a piece of cake making 600+ hp in a v8 and you HAD TROUBLE even doing that cause your pos would fry plugs.. wonder why you were so scared to run the 2nd stage cause you knew your **** would blow up if you did. lol. You talk about your v8 being so much better it was more fun blah blah.. go by a vette or another gm with an lsx..build that. you ruined a perfectly good car with a perfect motor if you dont know what your doing with rotories you shouldnt have bought one.. i hate those Frankenstein conversions.. rx7s are getting more rare and we have people like you to thank because you dont know what your doing with the engines they come with so you destroy the car. its really sad i think there are more v8 rx7's then 13b's now a days. and its not cause its better its cause the owner didnt know what to do with what he had so it had to put in what he did know.. pathetic.

and sorry nobody got lucky.. i spun my *** off, my clutch was fried and slipped like hell in 3rd and 4th. AND you still lost.. You call your self a street racer ?? dont make me post all the videos i have of you trying to line up with me at a light and missing it THREE times cause your dumb *** would do a burnout through the light every time and try backing up like the light is going to wait for you LOL.. with me waiting patiently at the light each time saying this guy is going to miss the light again unbelievable. it happened 3 times in a row, and you were worried about being pulled over.. yea dumb **** like that doesn't help then you finally came to me and said no burnout this time cause i obviously dont know how to do one before the light turns green.. Its just that this whole race was childish to begin with.. It started with DJ calling me up personally to call me out to race. I said yea sure that would be great no problem. Then every time it was suppose to happen it never did because DJ made some kind of excuse he wasnt ready. his car was in the shop, he didnt have a head light cover so he couldnt race me ROFL, etc etc.. that went on for a month or two why bother even calling me if your going to do that. and in the meantime he was talking smack to other cars and not showing up to those races making them wait till 3am ready to race thinking he was going to show. Then i have dj's friends coming up to me saying dj knows hes faster then you and thats why hes not bothering to race you.. lol.. race me first and win and then brag to your friends your faster. I have kept my mouth shut for a long time and had no intentions on saying anything and I have been very mature about this whole thing from the beginning but now that I see DJ coming on here saying i was backing down from a rematch or better yet wishing me luck in the spring is just very funny to me knowing how this whole thing went down to begin with.

i agreed cause I personally dont like american v8s. whats so funny? respecting and liking are not the same thing, is that closed minded? do you know what the phrase means? I dont think anyone here is saying anything is the end all be all, not liking does not imply not being able to make power or go fast with a v8.. to each is own. one mans garbage is another mans treasure lol.

and i do respect all motors but if you ask me whats more impressive an 1100hp V8 or a 1100hp 4 cly im not going to say the v8.

i never ran the car on the "street" with both stages because it was pointless! ask roan about how my car hooks on 1stage and et streets (long story short it doesnt till 3rd) on both stages i was spinning my mickey t's thru 3rd gear. why add more power when iam not making use of what i already have??

i give 2shits about the internet or any car forum when it comes to my cars and racing, iam a grudge racer @ heart iam not in this for the internet glory or approval HELL EVEN ON MY OWN V8RX7 BOARD WHEN I POSTED VIDS OF THE CAR @ THE TRACK I DIDNT SHOW TIMES! lol, if you think 10.7 was the best my car went then i have some magic beans to sell you as well.....

For my car to take the next step it would have to be completely pulled apart, and i love it 2 much to do that i rather sell and start on a new platform...but thats just FYI ya know?

im not taking any of this seriously i just thought it would be entertaining and it makes for good racing in the spring. DJ ill speak to you face to face next time i see you when i am alone since you think that will makes a difference in my confidence lol but i wont need confidence I prefer competence.

lol* if all it took was a 35r kit and a 13b and et streets you'd see alot more fd's in the 10s i think me and you can both agree on that...when it comes to the rotary finding a tuner to make your car run the way it should is the biggest battle & you have 1 hell of a tuner on your side

- and racing is fun....but every1 talks, theres not much to say when i have the other person money's in my hand ....plus money brings in a whole other aspect of racing called nerves&pressure... any1 can be john force behind the wheel when they're not losing anything except a little pride... its a whole different story when your at the line knowing there thousands on this single race... and just 1 slip of your foot, or missed gear will result in you and friends going home with empty pockets..... thats when the fun begins!!

p.s- ill keep that malta on ice for you....you may need it to ice your bruised ego after i put a hurting on you at the track

honestly though goodluck, iam man enough to say that i was very impressed with how your car ran for what it was...if i didnt think it would be a challenge i wouldnt of wasted time trying 2 race you.... i wish you and enzo the best in 09 with all of the cars, yours,roy's, leo's, enzo's, roan's!! thats a nice stable of well built cars that'll turn heads and run numbers....iam all for you cracking 9s my Honest predicition is that you'll be 1 of the first in the 9s for street 13b fd in nyc/nj

lol no sorry i dont agree. anybody could do exactly what i have done.. it takes 400hp to run 10's on a FD and thats been done and proven years ago. How many people on this forum make over 400hp ? There is nothing that is stopping them from running 10's but themselves. Obviously your tune is very important to making the car run the way its suppose too.. but its not magically going to give you power that your parts cant provide in the first place. So your faulting me because my tune is on point? would it make you feel better if i added a sputter or a lil ignition break up in there LOL. would that make it more fair for you ?

and DJ i wouldnt want to race you when your nervous, I wouldnt want to win that way.. I would rather win knowing you give it all you had and it wasnt a misshift that created the win.. thats how you compare whos faster then who... are you racing the car or are you trying to defeat them by making them nervous?

ever been to the NYRA meets or the old rotor fests with a bunch of fds?, not many of them runs 10s, and a good amount aren't stock. An once again no1 is faulting you just stating the obvious, An i don't get nervous
