Question Getting the 60' Down

The car in question is my 87 SE with a TII swap. (everything). Anywho, seeing college is a very large finacial burden, i cant pour alot of money into the car. The engine is a streetported S4 TII motor with 3mm seals (got a deal on the motor) now with a To4b and starting to make a Megasquirt ecu. The thing is im on the stock trans. stock rear end. stock suspension.

I have confidence in the trans and rearend because i know for a fact im making nowhere near the power it takes to break them. But the stock suspension seems like the best place to make improvements.

The sticky thread has some information but nothing really exacting. From what i can tell from reading this section, A setup using something like Ground Control with the 150lb springs (front AND rear?) and a good adjustable shock is a good investment. As for tire options. My dry rotted tires i have on the car to push it around while im working on it arent going to work out.

I mean to run in street classes so i presume some like the E/T streets is a good option. im thinking about 26" tall and a 15" rim size but width im not too sure what i can fit...

1) what size tire can i fit in the FC without clearence issues when its starting squating?

2) does running a narrow front tires make any noticeable difference at my level?

Any other suggestions for getting my 60' down?

ITS NOT A DAILY DRIVER, i just dont want to plow off the road if im not going straight.
