I just saw Abel running again last Thursday. His first run it sounded like his tune was not right as he had a hard time trying to burn out and the engine just didn't sound right- the first pass he got out of it in first and got back in second and got sideways. The second pass the engine sounded much better and he launched hard and went throught 1,2, and part of third and backed out laying I think a 5 second pass in the 1/8. Man that 3 rotor sounds like a fricken jet wide open. I was the only other guy out at the track with a rotory, all the other cars were v8's and a few honda's etc. Looking forward to seeing Abel run a complete 1/4 mile pass coming up on the 20th.

 

He might be going out this next thursday,i will be there.

Yes ,abel rx8 sounded rough rich in tune,but it has some really good power under full load.I was talking to him after the second pass , he did manage to lay down a
1.03 60 ft pass,not bad for a track without being prepped for serious racing.

 

1.03 in '60 are good! hope that he ran in the 6 seg. again!
