I wish someone would do 12A rotors...

rcracer_tx 02-12-12 02:17 PM

Is there any person/shop that have tried these and have any feedback on them? Imagine a 100lb billet short block that's significantly stronger than the oem engine. The billet rotors for $800aud a piece seems to be a really good deal.

Still no update on this?

Just like a new car model, you never want to buy the first year/batch..... and this is why.

Yep, I've learned that lesson before the hard way...

It's nice to be updated on new technology, but I'm not going to be a guinea pig for parts. Once all the kinks are worked out though, this kind of setup has the potential to really improve the rotary engine is our rx7's as it will be lighter, stronger, and hopefully more reliable (only time will tell on that).

Does anyone know if the plate on the "irons" are going to be replaceable like tagheims wolvo 4 rotor design?

Here's some pics of his irons:

Anyone else want to time travel 5 or 10 (or however many) years ahead so we can get our hands on these products?

rotaryB-2000 04-16-12 12:13 PM

product development takes lots of time and lots of money and at the end its still hit or miss

riceburner1r2001 02-20-13 03:26 PM

how much lighter is this from stock

and even then most people won't be able to afford them once/if they do ever wind up getting all the kinks out. i mean it's been 3 years+ of R+D already so you know they're probably going to be priced even steeper than the already steep aluminum parts from Racing Beat.

cast iron is still stronger but obviously heavier, of course you have to add more aluminum to the bosses to compensate.

riceburner1r2001 02-20-13 11:00 PM

racing beat is so overpriced its sickening

SEDUCE 02-23-13 05:13 AM
