Hopefully i do good, going to run the All Motor killer. To bad the weather will be really

BOTI results and scary run!!!
Hi, thanks for all the rotary head supporting the race event.
I saw a few people there hanging around the pits from the forum.
Sorry to dissapoint all the rotor heads i coulnd't make the cut for qualifications,They
only gave us 2 rounds of Qualifications and i have to tell yeah the competition was
tuff. There were a few FWD cars running in the low 10sec ET range in the ALL
MOTOR CLASS.
I have to tell you about what happened in the first round of qualifications,I did my
burnout everything seemed fine,Staged,Two step the engine to 10,000 rpm and
then took off, going through the gears, when i reached the finish line i took my foot
off the throttle and guess what,My THROTTLE WAS STUCK WIDE OPEN AFTER THE
FINISH LINE,****!!! I hit the brakes and the freaking car did a 45 degree left turn
drift style.Luckly my car was in the right lane,so you know what will happen if
i was in the left lane. But anyways my car was shooting left, right, the Rx7 wanted
come around my *** but **** ,i did what i can not to hit the wall. While i was doing
some drifting on the top end of the track,i had to push the clutch in to let the
engine wind till i got my hands of the wheel and manually turn the engine off.
After the run i checked my data logger and the engine was wide open for a few
seconds @ 11,200 rpms!!.That was a hand full i have to tell you.But i did get back
into the track after fixing the problem,The engine was fine, thank god for the
invention of the rev limiter.

Rene, it was nice hanging with you and watching you race. I think there were only like 4 rotories in the whole event. Hope to make it out next time and race myself. We need more rotories support and racing out to these events. Where was all the rotories? Anyways, glad you made it through your first pass. I just got back from lunch and must have missed it. I saw your second pass and the car looked good. I know you have ran alot faster. Was the hot weather a big factor?

yeah, the weather was scortching hot.I saw my data logger on one of my runs
and the intake temp outside was 106 temp.Hot air was a big challange to tune
My CAR.The last time i took MY Rx7 out for a run was this last April.I had no
Prior testntune,so i just headed out to track this past weekend and did my best
to tune the car withing 2 runs.
My second run was an 11.9 sec ET@116 mph,way way off my pace.Track was a little
greasy from the hot sun.

Better luck next time Rene. The best thing about the weekend is that you took the car and yourself home safely after your little mishap in the first round.
Don't worry too much about the tune up. A little more test-n-tunes and you'll get it. It's all part of this game we love so much.
