From the NRS thread:
"The seals were first installed in May 2006, so it's been 12 months @ 850 RWHP/34 psi and about 1 month @ 980 RWHP/43 psi.
I'm not sure how many passes Sporty made last year but that is the time frame."

Engine builders, that build high horsepower turbo charged rotary engines know how hard it is, to not only build an engine that stays together(no bearing failure, no detonation, no cracked plates, no rotor floating and crashing into the inside of the rotor housing, etc, etc.) which are common issues you confront when building a high horsepower rotary engine. builders with this knowledge could appreciate not only what this Rx7 did, but what many other builders of high horsepower engines are doing. With that being said I congratulate everyone involved and the critics that have no clue of what it takes to create a monster like this. I would say talk is cheap, go ahead and try it yourself....

You guys have to pardon Rice, he doesn't know better.... Thank god he didn't start comparing rotarys to F1 cars because thats all he do over at Ausrotary...
This is an accomplishment that we all should be proud of, because at the end of the day we (rotarys) are a minority in this sport and its about time we show the rest of the world what the 1.3L can do... The only ones that should be talking **** are the ones that can do better..

Unlike on here he will own you or anyone on a forum where he and his supporters are not banned
That aside, RICE and his supporters can rub people the wrong way, but its usualy the ones who are the least capable who take any offence

you know whats funny.. Brent Rau said with no shame in his game, how he uses 75psi of boost. extremely hard to keep the engine together, but he does it and many a times gets great resutls. like his 6 second runs.
If I had the money, I would take on Brent's attitude towards high boost..

I don't work on Papito's(timemachine) TII. All the work and tuning is done by Lopez Racing in Miami. Further more they don't need that amount of boost to run the times they are running. If they did Papito would need wings to control that car. It's way fast enough and a handfull to drive as it is and it will be much faster when they are done with the present upgrades to the suspension etc.
