20B Torque...Cusco Diff/DSS axles or Cobra 8.8/DSS

I want to make sure I can launch with 600-650 Ft Lbs and not break everything.

I currently have a cusco diff I can use or I can go with the 8.8 and Samburg setup.

I have a T56 if that means anything.

Don't use DRs or street tires and install a real PFS diff cradle and some DSS axles and you should be fine. But that all depends on how smooth the launches go really.

Yep Ford 9in solid axles and your good for anything. But personally I went with the DSS Cobra IRS setup . The price is good and it's probably never going to break unless you go insane with a massive compound turbo setup

The Cobra rear set is stronger, but will run alot more money unless your source the parts used. The DSS level 5 setup with a PFS diff gurdle, oth, will also do you just fine. Just depends on your budget. Both ways work.

Ernie its not that much more...

How much does the Kazz or Cusco diff cost? how much is the PFS cradle?
you can probably get an 8.8 and cradle for roughly same cost

Axles are the same money whether your cobra or not..

youll need a new driveshaft with cobra diff..
You'll also get a stronger rear end with unlimited rear end gear choices...

I absolutely beat the hell out of mine and it just takes it..

Question. If you run in a certain class, do you have to run the factory diff. or can you use the cobra diff? There are diffrent classes so lets say in the classes that Ernie and Anthonynyc run?

Justin,

There really isn't much classes out there.. NSCRA is really the only body with classes...
And 99% of the time it's the tranny that will bump you up a class.
As long as the rear remains the same as factory you'll be fine..
ex: IRS stays IRS and Solid stays Solid..
