I think only ppl here in Aus modify the sedans compared to PR and USA which prefer coupes more.

That car is still in testing with the same engine setup as the pac mx6

 

New car and testing.

The driver/owner of the car used to own another rx3 sedan that used to run 7.56secs 2 years ago. That car flipped at the top end of the track due to tyre shake and loose parts

Those are just shake down passes. They are probably trying to figure out what the suspension is doing and how the car is reacting before they try a full pass. You don't jump into a full race car and think your going to run a full pass right off the trailor without knowing what that car is going to do. You hear all the time people stating that they ran this time and that time right off the trailor. But what they fail to state is how many private sessions of testing they had done before bringing it out for the first time for everyone to see.

 

Your probably right, but who's to know that this was a new car and set up from just looking at the vid? And If it was a new car and set up I would not make a first pass at full throttle. They are probably like you said testing the suspension on the launch. I love those tubbed 4 doors. Makes me want to tubb mine.

Very clean sounding 20b they've got there, actually its one of the cleanest 20b's i've herd in a long time. With the Mx6 combo, theres no doubt that this thing will be quick & consistent. Pac is by far the most consistent team out there with 20b's.. Vid clearly shows they're testing, I wonder what's their best 60ft so far.

 

thats a beast in the making..... where is the suspension tuner? thats a huge tire to be spinning that easily.,

 

I think thats what the Australian's lack, A good suspension tuner for these shorter WB cars. It was very clear that after Gaby chassis did his magic on a few cars in '06, all of them ran PB.. I don't think they lack power, they just lack the proper clutch/suspension setup to get the power down safely. BTW that old red rx3 is only 1/2 chassis with 7.5's

 

Thats the reason why Maztech brought Gaby over to tune their chassis recently

 

have we confirmed this car has a 20b, it sounds like a four rotor to my untrained ear?
