who builds the best two rotor turbo engines??

Hi guys!

I bought a 93` TT RX7 last week as a basis for a road race car.
Although I know a lot about high hp builds (I have a 900hp Supra, a 600hp GT Viper and had a 650hp C5 bevotre..), I donīt know much about rotary engines

I did spend a lot of time on the net this week, searching for vendors.

I found lot of parts, but I couldnīt really find much infos on high hp engines.

I want to keep the 2 rotor, but will need to have it perfectly built to handle 6-700hp of permanent WOT at the race circuits.

Would be nice, if you could get me some links to shops that I can tust that they can build such an engine for me.....

Thanks a lot in advance !

If you haven't come across them yet, check out Arizona Rotary Rockets. They have built quite a few high hp race motors that have held up to a lot of abuse. http://www.azrotaryrockets.com/

Lots of vendors doing motors on the forum ... crispeed, pfs, rp, rx7store, gotham, and lots of individuals.

If you are talking about serious track racing rather than just fun lapping events you might want to get in touch with mandeville or downing or perhaps some of the rotary racing teams to find out what they do for motors as well as oiling and cooling systems. 600+ hp is some serious heat to deal with on the track, lots of demands on the oiling system, cooling system, fuel system, and brakes/tires. I'm thinking C16 for fuel and lots of brake/tire, the rest is probably easily doable with enough time and money but finding brakes to slow you down at that power level will be some work.

DING, DING, DING... we have a winner, yet again from the respresentative from the honorable Lone Star State!

If you're as serious as you sound about getting one of our capricious rotary engines truly road race ready, then it's Rick Engman (Downing Atlanta), Roger Mandeville (Mandeville Auto Tech) or Carlos Lopez (CLR Motorsports) in my eyes.
Just Google for their contact and bring a truckload of Ben Franklins with you!
