What are the true HP from stock twins?

Im trying to guess what my Hp is going to be with all my mods. The guy that built my enging claims, tuned right it will put out 370 Hp but that can't be true with stock twins non seq. I think more like 325 HP. I have seen post with guys with stage II BNR upgrade turbos not making that much HP. He said My max boost will be 14 psi. My Mods are: PFC and comander, Full engine rebuild and street ported , 1200 secondary injectors by RC engineering, ACT clutch, New engine wiring harness, Lightened flywhell 9.5, Race beat duel exhaust, Pettit down pipe, Bonze hi flow cat, M2 air intake, All hard piping, Blitz stock mount intercooler, power main pully, enfini y pipe, Non seq turbos with ported waste gate, Walbro fuel pump, Avcr, Will be tuned with wide band and computer

325 sounds about right, no way it is making 370 unless he is talking flywheel horse power. then that would be about right.

Love all the numbers but every one is over 14 psi. Can you find out actual HP with wide band and tuned by computer?

I also think 325 sounds about right.

you can guesstimate, if you know the injector size and pulsewidth, and air fuel ratio

Try 358 rwh(SAE) at only 13 psi on stock twins(non-seq) and ported motor.
Bit over 400rwh at 17-18psi....

But in reality....anything's possible on a dyno

Thats just how dyno's are lol

What you need to do is forget about dyno numbers and start going to the track and getting a mph.

BTW John 358rw is pretty damn strong for 13psi. Did you ever track your car with that same setup at 13psi? What mph was it running. Thats some pretty damn good numbers....course I'd imagine you've spent a LOT more time tuning your car than V8eater ever will so that makes a big difference also hehe

Say Stephen, do you have to spend a lot of time tuning? One good time is not enough? I know every car is different, but the guy that is tuning my car. He and I have almost the same set up only thing he has iginition box I have none. He has front mount intercooler and I have blitz stock mount every thing else is about the same. He takes the maps that he has used and upgraded from his car and is useing them for a start for me. he tunes alot to make better maps.

Well......those with bullshit dyno #'s are simply fooling themselves!!!
Dynoing your car on a proper updated dyno with SAE corrected #'s should yield your true hp and yes, 1/4 mile traps are also a good indication of available pavement hp.

Steph....my car is a freak
With EVC off I will trap 114 mph about 11-11.5psi
@ 14.5psi I was trapping 116-117mph.
@ 18 psi I've trapped 125mph at least 4 times !!!!!!!

Hmmm.....maybe I'm lying about my dyno #'s.
Tunning and shift points matter alot.

I put down 314@ .90 kg/cm2 with a stock cat. The rest of the mods are listed in my sig. That was the most anybody put down with stock twins at the dyno that day (I was the only car with twins and a ported motor though). There were two cars with 3540 single Ts at the dyno as well. They eclipsed my figures while doing "base" runs at the same boost. The difference in low end was negligable.

Whoops, dont take that wrong. That first sentance wasnt directed toward you, it was directed toward V8eater. I was just meaning that if a tuner WANTS to show your car to make a certain HP then its possible no matter what.......cause anything is possible with a dyno lol

John, you should know I dont think that about your car. You have the performance to back it up.

V8eater - when your tuning on the edge to make that last little amount of power (such as you'd have to do for a true 370 @ 14psi) then yes you can find your self constantly playing with the tuning. If you shoot just a little lower and go a little more conservative then you probably wont have to fiddle with the car all the time.

Also, if I can give you a piece of advice.....dont use someone else's map. Even if the mods are almost the same.....his ignition box probably does more for him than you realize. But even if you had an ignition box you still shouldnt run his map. Get your own custom tuning thats based just on your car. Especially since it only cost about $300 for someone like Steve Kan to do it.
