What springs for RA apex seals

I have just ordered a rebuild kit which is using 2mm RA seals, from reading about the springs flattening out and others being used instead.

What options are there???

From what i've read stock springs are gonna be your best bet. That's what i have in the motor i'm currently building.

The stock springs are heat treated. The RA springs are not.

Change of plan, I'm going with the 3mm seals now. Getting them to swap them over. I havn't pulled the engine apart yet so dont know the condition of the rotors and 3mm will give me a little extra strength.

Since these are 1 piece seals, different springs are to be used. What are people using?? I know they are mazda OEM ones but I read somewhere they are from a different model.

anyone know how to properly heat treat the springs? i always use stock springs, and i've probably got 10 or 11 untouched sets of RA springs. might as well put them to use if i can.

Just got my 3mm seals threw today, I thought they were 1 piece seals but they are 2.

They use single springs so are "any pre-1986 13B engine ... just order for the 85 Rx-7 GSL-SE" springs still used???

Someone needs to engineer a small spring for the 3mm seals like the 2mm seals have. The small spring would help keep the apex seal from sagging in the middle.

I might buy 3mm dual springs and machine the seals to fit them.
