It could use air instead of fluid...that is always an idea. Air would make things less messy too. Either way, I would like to keep the actuator from being mounted on the manifold if possible. It would probably be best to keep it away from super hi temps.

I am going to try and make a more detailed sketch of the system and post it to see if it can shed some new light on things.
