Twin Turbo 1st Gen Project

Ok, I know not everyone has time to read a superlong post so Ill try to be concise...

THE STORY:
I have a relatively excellent shape REW sitting in the garage. I decided to rebuild it first to start everything afresh. Its pretty stock, but with the exhaust I imagine that right now itll make in the neighborhood of 300 horse. That should equate to a about 12 flat in the quarter which I was happy with. HOWEVER cars seem to be getting quicker and quicker, So I want to see how much and what I can do exactly to make my car a true rocket. (I have many a score to settle)

I have plenty of time for my project, and I can save money, so these are not big problems. Id rather wait to do it right than rush a poor job. So with this in mind...

THE PROJECT:
My main question is How much power can I run (squeeze) with the stock (Jspec?) twins, and have a reliable car for 50,000miles or more? And what would be the best upgrades to acheive this, keeping it sequential?

I'm ordering a rebuild kit soon, and that would be the perfect time to beef up the motor.

Im tossing around the Idea of streetporting it, but I dont know all of the cons yet.

Nitrous also sounds VERY enticing, as well as a potential nightmare

Right now on my list are:

Racing seals and gasgets
Higher Flow injectors
Haltech
Lightened Flywheel

I think with this I should be able to make about 400 or so horse.. with a streetport and nitrous set up maybe 5 to 600 on the juice?

*I know this is going to be a long, expensive, and complicated project, but is it not worth it!! *

TO THE EASILY ANNOYED:
I know Ive posted this elsewhere, and I dont mean to beat a dead horse, but once and for all I wanted a thread I can find easily, and post all updates in. ANd I admit Im still new to this
