That's only 10 minutes from my house... maybe I'll stop by to observe the goings on.

Since I can't drive I kept wondering if someone was honking at him. Then I said duh the beep that tells you to shift. I will be hearing that alot when I start driving my 87seven.

That's why the Renesis is prob. an excellent candidate for supercharging, moreso than turbocharging (also cuz it lacks low end torque).

On a sidenote, you're at PSU? State College? Nice... I used to go there. It's one hell of a party school

It's still too early to tell if the Renesis will be able to handle boost. People boost higher compression rotarys all the time. The only problem I see with the Renesis it's complicated manifold design. All those flapper valves and stuff in the runners of the manifold will slow down air flow. Also being made out of plastic, there may be so much boost you can safetly run without cracking it.

How is it less stress? The supercharge is taxing more on the engine because of it being run off of a pulley. I thought that was one of the benefits of a turbocharger, because it doesn't tax the engine as much, it uses the exhaust gases that otherwise wouldn't play too much of a role, aside from port and exhaust length tuning. I don't get out too much here, to involved in my studies. Fairfax county eh? Yeah got my first and only speeding ticket there driving back home to SC. The cop didn't seem to thrilled with my excuse of not having any money for a hotel room, and being delayed due to traffic. Oh well it was still my fault for speeding.
BTW my questions are extremely legitmate. I'm not trying to be a **** or anything, I am just using what I know to try and see why a supercharger would be more beneficial.

I believe mazda in australia made a turbo kit and were boasting about how it was so great and they weren't going to blow it and basically talking it up, but a few months later they blew the hell out of the motor. Consequently I also heard that another Aussie company came up with a turbocharger kit strikingly similar to that of Mazda's and is playing it off as their own.

I just wanted to make sure. I didn't want you to take anything the wrong way. I guess we'll just wait to see if anyone who is better informed can help us out. The HUB, well it's still there haha. My freshman year a few friends and I wrote **** across the HUB lawn in the snow. It made the front page of the Collegian!!! It's nice, but doesn't reall flow well with any of the skyline, but I guess it is the skyline now.
